Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences High School Program

The Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences (CINS), located at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, is “one of the premier nanotechnology research laboratories in the region.” The Center employs about a dozen full-time researchers and administrative staff as well as 10-20 undergraduate and graduate students. It specializes in Nanotechnology research specifically in developing high-purity and high-quality nanomaterials for thin film deposition, bio-nanotechnology, toxicology, and nanomedicine.

The CINS offers a summer mentorship where students can work on research with lab staff where they can learn about research techniques and nanotechnology. This program is largely subject to mentor availability and is fairly competitive.
